Books Recommended for MBBS Taylor's

We have 6 subjects in Foundation Block, which is also Semester 1.

So the 6 subjects, I would like to recommend some books for the subjects.

1. Anatomy:

- MOORE Clinically Orientated Anatomy (Better buy one)
- Chaurasia Volume 1, 2, 3 (Can be borrowed from library, but will be useless when going to clinical school, which is Sem 5 onwards)
- Netter's Atlas of Human Anatomy (Better get one, helps in OSPE a lot)

2. Biochemistry:

- Mac Graw Hill Harper's Illustrated Biochemistry
----Lippincott;s is not that clear and a little bit messy, which has less information

3. Physiology

- Lange's Physiology
- Guyton and Hall Edition 13

Choose one.

4. Pathology
Get the Papa robin and use it until you graduate from MBBS 5 years later

5. Microbiology
-No books needed, if really want, just get the one published by Mac Graw Hill

6. Pharmacology
- Same with Microbiology, the lecturer's slides are so much and you can get everything from the slides

Taylor's University: Pedestrian Access Card

That day I went to access my application for access card, met with lots of trouble so came here to give u guys some guidance.

Access card, is the access card to go out fron Taylors Uni using the side entrance. Well, according to them, please be quiet and give some respect to the people living there.

Ok. 

First, u need to have an evidence of living at PJS there or Sunway. You can get the evidence in paper form from your house owner. Otherwise, You CANNOT apply for it.

Then, go to STUDENT PORTAL--> STUDENT CENTRAL --> Pedestrian Access Card Application--> Fill in the blanks and submit.

Later, bring the paper of evidence, Student ID, IC and RM100, and then go to Student Central located at Block A2 above the Enrolment Centre. 

Meet the Counter and then you are done.

Wait for one month and GET IT.

REMEMBER NOT TO BORROW IT TO ANYONE
OR ELSE
WHEN FOUND, ONE YEAR CANT APPLY AND DEPOSIT IS TAKEN AWAY.

-One year RM30, and will be renew at 1st January every year.

-The printer are located at 24/7, C3 beside Ladies' washroom, C4 beside Gentlemen's washroom
-So far, A4 B/W = RM0.10, A4 Colour = RM1.50

A. Library is the most important thing, so the first is the library website.

Login uses the password from the back of your Student ID Card, which is a 10 numbers code, and your Student ID Number as the password.

well, one can login to
1. find what the books are available,
2. find the code for the books you want to find
3. pre-subscribe the book so you can get it when they are return to the library if not available
4. see if the books due or not
5. renew the books.

Stethoscope For MBBS Students, KL, Malaysia

Well it is always a problem to buy stethoscope.

But now, as I just bought it 2 days ago, I wold like to share some.


Search for "Apex Pharmacy Subang Jaya" on Google Maps.
Then, Call the office for asking about the details.

Brand name for mine is "Classic II", which is RM 238.5 including a penlight, when I bought it.

Then, If you are a Taylor's student, you can go there using a Grab car. It charge about RM7.
But you can also choose the BRT and LRT and go there, but I am not sure for that way.
Just call on your friends and share the RM7 is better.

The location is in an area of a lot of factories. There will be APEX HEALTHCARE at the front of the office.

Just go to the door that is located at the back side of it, go in, turn left.
A handsome man will be there to serve you.

Well it is actually a store of the company, but you can still buy there,

By the way,

remember to CALL THEM FIRST, CONFIRM THEY HAVE THE STOCK

then REMEMBER TO BRING ENOUGH MONEY, NO ATM THERE.

ASK THE GRAB DRIVER TO WAIT FOR U SO U CAN STRAIGHTLY GO BACK IF U R
USING GRAB CAR

By the way, according to my experience, buying from senior will charge about RM300.
But if u want your name to be on the stethoscope, then just forget this post and buy from your senior LOL.
